We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Pulmonary Medicine department at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assess patients and/or populations; develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care; clearly document and communicate information both in written and verbal forms.
  2. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established guidelines and standards as necessary for the care of the patient.
  3. Utilize evidence-based practice, serve as a clinical expert for policies, procedures, documentation, and skills.
  4. Assist in the education, training, and development of new and existing staff members.
  5. Engage in the community of the work unit by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, engage in Quality Improvement.
  6. Leverage technology and informatics to optimize healthcare outcomes.
  7. Commit to continued professional development of self and others.
  8. Contribute to the division and/or specialty goals and the Hospital Strategic Plan.

Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree or equivalent provision.
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Ohio.
  • Maintains national certification as APRN in the appropriate population foci for the position, or PA.
