The Director of Special Gifts is responsible for overseeing financial stewardship within the organization.
This role involves planning, organizing, initiating, and maintaining oversight of various Development Programs, including the Planned Giving Incubator Program and the Financial Empowerment Ministry, as well as providing financial counseling to families and individuals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement strategies aimed at enhancing donor engagement and fostering a culture of generous giving, thereby creating a diverse funding base that complements traditional revenue streams.
Collaborate with key personnel to create a comprehensive stewardship curriculum suitable for all age demographics within the community.
This initiative will enhance members' understanding and practice of Christian stewardship, focusing on the management of income, time, talents, and gifts.
Lead the development and promotion of educational programs for the community and other affiliated organizations; encourage interested individuals to contribute to the mission through planned giving.
Formulate a strategy for regular engagement with donors at all levels.
This may include automated thank-you letters for initial contributions, personalized notes of appreciation for special appeals, and acknowledgments for notable donations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven ability to lead major initiatives and projects from inception to completion.
Strong leadership and administrative capabilities, particularly in guiding volunteer teams.
1-2 years of experience in project development, leadership, recruitment, training, and public speaking.
Exceptional interpersonal, writing, and proofreading skills.
Outstanding time management abilities with a proactive approach in a dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Organizational or Business Management or a related field.
