About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Access Center Partner to join our team at UofL Health. As a key member of our access center, you will play a critical role in communicating with patients and physicians in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and physicians, ensuring a positive experience and creating a lasting impression for UofL Health.
  • Schedule patient appointments according to clinic operating standards, using access center technologies to ensure accurate and efficient scheduling.
  • Monitor guided schedule documents to ensure up-to-date scheduling compliance and make adjustments as needed.
  • Determine the most appropriate physicians for non-directed referrals and schedule appointments accordingly.
  • Reschedule patients as needed, using proper functions and ensuring seamless communication with patients and physicians.
  • Field non-clinical patient questions and transfer to clinical parties as necessary.
  • Set patient expectations for their visit, ensuring an excellent patient experience and promoting a positive outcome.
  • Use Allscripts, Centricity Business, and online paging systems to retrieve information and communicate with patients and physicians.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information according to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Meet group productivity and quality metrics, adhering to established standards and expectations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Excellent customer service skills and two years of scheduling experience in a multi-specialty clinic preferred.
  • Successful completion of all required training and a strong ability to work independently.
  • Dependability, professionalism, and a team player attitude are essential for success in this role.
