Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Brightwater Lagoons. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes to meet the expectations of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and stock stations with necessary supplies to ensure efficient food preparation.
  • Prepare ingredients for service, including tasks such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to cook menu items to the highest standards.
  • Follow and report on instructions provided by the executive Chef to ensure seamless service.
  • Thoroughly clean the station and manage leftover food appropriately to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Maintain inventory levels as needed to prevent stockouts and minimize waste.
  • Ensure that dishes are served simultaneously, meeting high-quality standards, and adhering to timely service.
  • Adhere to nutrition, sanitation regulations, and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a professional and positive demeanor while interacting with coworkers and customers.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role.
  • Possess a strong foundation in cooking techniques, including knife skills, grilling, sautéing, and various cooking methods relevant to the cuisine.
  • Understand and adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including safe food handling, storage, and preparation.
  • Depending on local regulations, candidates may be required to have certifications in food safety, such as ServSafe or equivalent.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace, efficiently manage multiple tasks, and work well under pressure, especially during busy service times.
  • Possess the physical endurance required to stand for extended periods, lift heavy kitchen equipment, and work in a high-temperature environment.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing menu items and the demands of a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and superiors, following instructions accurately and clearly.
