Key Responsibilities

Peraton is in search of a highly skilled individual to assume the role of Operations Manager for the SCITES (USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services). This position will play a crucial role in supporting various operational functions across multiple locations.

Peraton is committed to delivering a comprehensive range of centralized IT infrastructure, services, and processes, including compliance activities related to Cybersecurity Task Orders (CTO) for USSOUTHCOM networks. Our team is dedicated to continuously advancing and utilizing the latest technologies and best practices to enhance capabilities and ensure that platforms and intelligence operations are effectively aligned with SOUTHCOM missions. We strive to meet the operational needs of USSOUTHCOM and its diverse mission partners, which include various DoD organizations, U.S. Federal and state government agencies, and international military and non-military partners.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders regarding daily system and network operations.
  • Ensuring adherence to all operational performance service level agreements (SLAs), such as node uptime and repair timelines.
  • Leading investigations into anomalies and providing thorough root cause analyses for any outages that exceed major SLAs.
  • Overseeing the operations team and collaborating with enterprise engineering to facilitate the smooth transition of projects from engineering to operational phases.
  • Assisting in the maintenance and enhancement of operational uptime for systems and networks.
  • Managing the current certification and accreditation processes for systems and networks.
  • Implementing innovative technologies to bolster the cyber threat posture while minimizing costs for customers.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale DoD operational programs, with a strong understanding of USSOUTHCOM IT, complemented by excellent presentation, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Possession of required certifications as outlined in DoD 8570 Baseline Information Assurance Manager (IAM)-III level.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Over five years of experience supporting teams that are geographically dispersed.
  • At least three years of experience with DoD Information Assurance policies and guidelines.
  • A minimum of six years of experience in an Operations Lead capacity.
