Position Overview
SAIC is in search of a seasoned professional to support the U.S. Southern Command's Cyber IT Enterprise Services (SCITES). This role is crucial for enhancing our Nation's capabilities in contingency planning, operational execution, and security measures across Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading a team focused on engineering development, integration, interface design analysis, and the testing of both software and hardware components.
- Conducting system-level design and configuration of products, ensuring compatibility with existing legacy systems while meeting project specifications.
- Planning extensive systems projects, including vendor assessments and cost-benefit analyses.
- Managing daily interactions with clients, ensuring effective communication and comprehensive reporting.
- Exhibiting strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting information to senior military and civilian leadership.
- Overseeing multiple technical leads to guarantee operational capabilities, system availability, and compliance with security standards.
- Maintaining high-level client relationships and managing the interface with senior stakeholders.
- Contributing to strategic planning and operational objectives through insightful recommendations and data analysis.
- Promoting the adoption of industry best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency, capacity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Identifying trends and implementing system improvements to elevate customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 9 years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.
- Active TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- DoD 8570 certification, with a minimum of Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III.
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification.
- At least five years of experience in supporting global network systems, including troubleshooting various network types and recommending enhancements.
- A minimum of five years of experience in leading network operations and engineering teams within a programmatic context.
- At least three years of experience in planning and executing both local and long-haul communication strategies.
- Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience in risk management and optimizing network installations to reduce operational costs.
- A minimum of three years of experience in supporting and troubleshooting firewall appliances and rulesets.
