Position Overview:

We are seeking a bachelor-level candidate for a full-time role within our community-based vocational counseling team. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and experience in mental health, particularly in addressing substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a strong background in networking and program development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Evidence-Based model for supported employment.
• Assist clients in all facets of employment.
• Participate in necessary treatment team meetings.
• Actively network with local businesses to create job opportunities for clients.
• Maintain regular communication with all members of the IPS treatment teams.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of mental health and substance use treatment.
  • Ability to engage with the community effectively.
  • Familiarity with vocational and employment services.
  • Strong networking capabilities.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Self-motivated and independent.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication with staff, clients, and community partners.
  • Ability to establish lasting relationships with local employers, with a target of six job developments weekly.
  • Commitment to using non-stigmatizing, client-centered language.
Qualifications: A valid driver’s license and automobile with appropriate liability insurance are required.

Education:
A bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, rehabilitation counseling, education/counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution is necessary.
