About the Construction Superintendent Role

The Construction Superintendent is a critical position responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of construction projects from start to finish. Reporting directly to the Director of Construction, this role entails managing and coordinating the execution of construction activities on assigned projects with a keen focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of construction methods and techniques, and the ability to effectively manage resources and personnel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. While not required, it is preferred that candidates have experience in secure facility construction and knowledge of ICD 705 guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and support to construction teams, resolving issues, conflicts, and challenges as they arise.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project teams to review progress, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate construction activities with other trades, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of project milestones.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively, identifying and addressing any issues or delays that may impact project timelines and deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction supervision and management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 25%-50% for job-related assignments.
