**Procurement Associate**

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Associate to join our team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating purchases and quotes from suppliers, assisting buyers and senior buyers with fact finding, sourcing, expediting, and problem solving, and proactively engaging in discussions to improve service and processes for stakeholders and procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate Purchases: Negotiate purchases and quotes from suppliers for all products and services used by MSKCC departments.
  • Assist Buyers: Assist Buyers and Senior Buyers with fact finding, sourcing, expediting, and problem solving.
  • Improve Service: Proactively engage in discussions to improve service and processes for stakeholders and procurement.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to assist with the preparation of business review, reports, or bid analysis.

Requirements:

  • Work Experience: At least 1 year of work experience in an office setting.
  • Purchasing Knowledge: Knowledge of purchasing environments a plus.
  • MS Office Suite: Well-versed in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Quantitative Techniques: Comfortable using quantitative techniques and are an analytical/critical thinker.
  • Customer Focus: Customer-focused, building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.

Additional Information:

**Location:** Hybrid, one day a month at a remote location.

**Schedule:** 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday – Friday.

**Reporting To:** Manager, Procurement.

**Pay Range:** $59,000.00-$91,500.00.
