Position Overview:
The Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests during their arrival and departure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests with a warm and genuine greeting, utilizing a clear and positive communication style.
- Facilitate the registration process by accurately entering and retrieving information from the computer system, confirming details such as guest count and room rates.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial dealings.
- Respond promptly to phone inquiries, taking messages and relaying information to guests as needed.
- Manage guest check-out procedures, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Handle guest complaints with professionalism, conducting thorough investigations to provide effective solutions.
- Maintain composure during busy periods and emergency situations, utilizing sound judgment.
- Adhere to attendance policies and maintain availability for scheduled shifts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous.
- Strong mathematical skills for handling financial transactions accurately.
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse clientele, demonstrating patience and diplomacy.
- Capability to stand and move throughout the front office while performing essential functions.
- Proficient in using a computer system for data entry and information retrieval.
