Role Responsibilities: The Case Aide will assist the Corps Officers in their daily functions. This position is crucial to the operational success of the Corps and its mission in delivering services. The Case Aide should possess the ability to manage multiple tasks, work autonomously, and be open to learning Salvation Army Data Entry Systems (Service Pointe, NSS, etc.), while upholding strict confidentiality standards. Collaboration with colleagues, volunteers, and clients is essential, as is flexibility to adapt to the programming needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and committed to their professional growth, while actively supporting the mission of The Salvation Army.
Key Duties- Respond to incoming calls and welcome visitors, providing necessary information and directing them to the appropriate staff or program.
- Coordinate appointments for individuals seeking assistance (Emergency Food, Legal Clinic, Pastoral Care).
- Maintain an up-to-date database of client referrals.
- Guide clients in accessing available city programs (e.g., Utility, Rental Assistance, Adult Rehabilitation Centers).
- Keep track of daily visitation at the Corps.
- Assist clients in completing necessary forms (Client Intake for emergency food, Holiday Assistance).
- Support the Corps Officers with camping initiatives, including recruitment, parent communication, chaperoning, database management, and fee collection.
- Compile and maintain client data, inputting statistics into both Service Point and the National Social Services System.
- Oversee the Emergency Food Pantry (ordering supplies as assigned, stocking shelves, ensuring cleanliness).
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops as assigned.
- Maintain knowledge of Salvation Army Corps operations.
- Ensure a tidy and organized workspace.
- Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent; one year of relevant work experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in administrative office procedures and standard office equipment.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of training on recognizing and reporting child abuse as per PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment, with recurring training required every five years.
- Must meet Child Protection Clearances mandated by PA Act 153, including PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check.
