Project Management Professional – Industrial Construction Projects

This position involves the comprehensive coordination, management, and oversight of industrial construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will collaborate with clients, design consultants, subcontractors, and engineers to facilitate informed decision-making on behalf of the project team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure project execution aligns with contract documents, design specifications, and industry standards while adhering to project timelines and budgets.

  • Monitor project schedules, staffing requirements, invoices, and submittals, providing regular updates to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Establish the sequence of activities for contractors and guide subcontractors in execution planning and work procedures.
  • Collaborate with all parties to resolve issues related to work procedures, construction, or design.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations on the job site.
  • Work effectively with others to deliver high-quality outcomes within established timelines and budgets.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in industrial construction projects, demonstrating strong problem-solving and communication skills along with meticulous attention to detail. Experience with manufacturing clients in various environments, particularly in chemical and advanced material construction sites, is preferred.

Candidates must be proficient in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, P&IDs, flow diagrams, and process data sheets, with the ability to identify discrepancies. Familiarity with engineering and construction documentation and their approval processes is essential. Experience in process construction, including equipment installation and utilities, is advantageous.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, along with a positive attitude and a commitment to contributing to a collaborative firm culture in the construction engineering sector.

Supervisory Role

This role includes oversight and management of process contractors on-site, ensuring the successful installation of project components.

Work Environment

The position is primarily field-based, requiring effective communication and planning for daily coordination with various stakeholders amidst ongoing construction activities.

Physical Requirements

While performing job duties, the employee will frequently need to sit, talk, and hear, with occasional requirements to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The ability to lift and move items up to 25 pounds is also necessary.

Position Type

This is a full-time role with specific hours determined by project needs. Flexibility may be permitted, but extended hours may be necessary.

Travel Requirements

Occasional domestic travel may be required for meetings with contractors and vendors to assess fabrication progress and quality.
