VCA Animal Hospitals is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician Supervisor specializing in Emergency and Critical Care to enhance our leadership team at a dynamic, 24-hour emergency and referral facility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver emergency and critical care nursing to small animal patients while providing technical support to our veterinary team.
- Supervise and mentor all technicians and oversee training in the ER/ICU department.
- Provide constructive feedback to colleagues regarding protocols and patient care.
- Participate in regular leadership meetings to discuss team and patient care improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to developing future technicians and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and employee experiences. You will collaborate with fellow supervisors to update protocols and guide our growing team of technicians.

Essential Skills:
- Proficient in triaging and obtaining patient histories.
- Skilled in monitoring vital signs.
- Experienced in venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
- Competent in drug calculations and administration of IV medications.
- Strong client communication and education abilities.

While a credentialed technician is preferred, we are dedicated to supporting the right candidate in pursuing CVT or VTS certification.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $30.00 per hour
Experience Required: 3 years in veterinary technician roles, with 2 years in a relevant specialty preferred.
