VCA Animal Hospitals is looking for a dedicated Emergency and Critical Care Veterinary Technician Supervisor to become an integral part of our leadership team in a dynamic, 24-hour emergency and multi-specialty veterinary practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert emergency and critical care nursing to small animal patients while offering technical support to our veterinary team.
- Oversee the training and development of technicians in the ER/ICU setting.
- Deliver constructive feedback to colleagues regarding protocols and patient care standards.
- Participate in regular leadership meetings to enhance operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for mentoring future technicians and fostering a positive work environment. You will collaborate with fellow supervisors to refine protocols and support the growth of our technician and TA teams.
Essential Skills:
- Conduct triage and gather patient histories.
- Monitor vital signs effectively.
- Demonstrate proficiency in venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
- Perform drug calculations and administer IV medications.
- Engage in client communication and education.
While credentialing as a Veterinary Technician is advantageous, we are committed to supporting the right candidate in pursuing CVT or VTS credentials.

Salary: $30.00 per hour
Experience Required:
- 2 years in a relevant role (Preferred).
- 3 years as a veterinary technician (Required).
