Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ADC Leader to join our team at Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing activities to maximize donor satisfaction, store revenue, and cost savings while ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the location in accordance with established hours of business and ensure proper staffing.
  • Ensure general conditions of the location meet established standards and collaborate with retail and facilities leaders as needed.
  • Develop and expand the local donor base.
  • Ensure payroll integrity and approve payroll, time-off requests, and related documentation.
  • Meet performance standards and goals regularly.
  • Control and minimize ADC expenses.
  • Ensure a safe environment for donors, customers, and employees.
  • Maintain excellent customer relations and train employees to greet, thank, and communicate our mission.
  • Partner with Loss Prevention to minimize loss and protect store assets and inventory.
  • Manage store P&L by controlling controllable expenses and labor costs.
  • Conduct initial training, recurrent training, or training in new skills, policies, or procedures.
  • Establish and monitor sound cash-handling procedures.
  • Prepare, review, and submit sales reports, invoices, donor logs, cash reports, and petty cash requests.
Requirements
  • Some college preferred; high school diploma, GED equivalency, or equivalent in business or marketing required.
  • Two years of supervisory experience and two years of retail experience.
  • Experience with supervision and training direct reports.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Skills Required
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Ability to calculate amounts.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications.
Scope of Responsibility & Positions Supervised

Directly supervises sales specialists and donor staff.

Special Working Conditions

The work environment is mostly indoors, with donated goods that may be dusty or soiled. May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
