About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Content Strategy to join our team at Verizon. As a key member of our content strategy team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing content strategies that drive business results and enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute content strategies that align with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Lead a team of content strategists and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging and effective content.
  • Manage vendors and agencies to create brand-defining experiences for customer-facing products and services.
  • Champion the value of thoughtfully crafted language in creating brand-defining, customer-centered experiences.
  • Drive the development of content strategy practices and systems within Verizon Design to increase efficiency and drive revenue.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience in content strategy, UX writing, and team leadership.
  • Experience leading a team and managing vendors and agencies.
  • Portfolio of professional work showcasing expertise in content strategy and UX writing.
  • Willingness to travel, occasional travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in content strategy, UX writing, and human-centered design methodologies.
  • Knowledge of secondary areas such as instructional design, UX design, visual design, research, online messaging and branding, information architecture, editorial strategy, search engine optimization, metadata strategy, and content distribution strategy.
  • Practical Design Thinking experience and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
