Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Connecticut Spring And Stamping Corporation. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by performing routine checks, tests, and inspections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Quality Inspections: Perform assigned routine tests on product in process or finished product where results are compared with company standards.
  • Visual Inspection: Inspect visually for obvious defects.
  • Quality Control: Prefer DSQR source inspection certification.
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T): Prefer GD&T knowledge.
  • Advanced Inspection: Perform detailed inspection to determine quality of product where limits are not clearly defined.
  • Quality Notification: Notify leader or supervisor when inspection data exceeds acceptable limits or when incidents of poor quality are noted.
  • Quality Data Management: Records quality results on inspection forms. Maintains forms and charts of inspection data, quality levels, or quality studies.
  • Disposition Recommendations: Make recommendations on disposition of questionable product to supervisor/leader.
  • Capability Studies: Performs capability studies.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Adherence to Company Policies: Maintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards.
  • Process Improvement: Observes company processes and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Other Duties: Performs other duties as may be required.
  • Attendance: Attendance is an essential function of the job.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school or technical school education, or equivalent, with mathematics emphasis.
  • Experience: Experience with operating gauges and testing equipment.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical capabilities to interpret detailed and complex drawings.
Physical Requirements
  • Visual Ability: Visual ability (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
  • Manual Dexterity: Manual dexterity sufficient to operate inspection machinery for precision work.
  • Physical Ability: Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.
