Reporting To: Quality Assurance Supervisor
Primary ObjectivesThe Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for conducting systematic evaluations, assessments, and inspections of materials, in-process products, and final goods to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Conducts routine evaluations on in-process or finished products, comparing results against company quality benchmarks.
- Performs visual inspections to identify any apparent defects.
- Possesses DSQR source inspection certification (preferred).
- Knowledge of GD&T is advantageous.
- Executes thorough inspections to assess product quality when limits are not explicitly defined.
- Alerts the supervisor or team leader when inspection results exceed acceptable thresholds or when quality issues arise.
- Documents quality findings on inspection forms and maintains records of inspection data, quality metrics, and quality analyses.
- Recommends actions regarding the disposition of questionable products to the supervisor or team leader.
- Conducts capability studies to assess process performance.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, safety standards, and cleanliness protocols.
- Observes operational processes and proposes enhancements for improvement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Regular attendance is a critical aspect of this role.
High school diploma or technical school education, or equivalent, with a focus on mathematics.
Experience- Experience operating gauges and testing equipment.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret detailed and complex technical drawings.
- Corrected visual ability to read instructions and blueprints, and to inspect components closely to ensure they meet specifications.
- Manual dexterity to operate precision inspection machinery.
- Physical capability to perform tasks that require frequent bending and stooping.
