We are seeking a dedicated Youth Development Facilitator to offer direct support and mentorship to young individuals as they navigate the transition from foster care to independent living within a supportive housing environment. This role requires a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and dependable transportation.
About Our Organization
Samaritas is a Michigan-based organization committed to empowering individuals to achieve their fullest potential. We are currently looking for a Youth Development Facilitator to join our mission and positively influence the lives of the youth we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a positive role model, providing guidance in essential life skills to young individuals.
- Supervise activities to ensure the safety and well-being of the youth.
- Lead group meetings and contribute to treatment planning efforts.
- Effectively communicate with all relevant stakeholders to uphold the safety and welfare of the youth.
Qualifications
Education and Training
- Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Coursework in social services or a related discipline.
- Preferred: Professional training in social work or child development.
Experience
- Experience in a group home or residential care setting.
- Experience working directly with youth.
Additional Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and reliable transportation.
