Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting:
  • Generate and interpret monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
2. Grant Oversight:
  • Administer grants to bolster organizational operations and initiatives.
  • Craft grant budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure adherence to grant stipulations.
  • Compile grant reports and maintain clear communication with funding entities.
  • Track grant timelines and ensure timely submissions.
3. Bookkeeping:
  • Ensure precise and current financial records utilizing accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
  • Process payroll efficiently.
  • Assist in the formulation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor budgetary performance and analyze variances.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to uphold budgetary accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify areas for financial improvement.
  • Prepare for audits in conjunction with external auditors.
  • Provide monthly financial updates to the Finance Committee and Executive Board.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in finance, grant management, bookkeeping, and budgeting, ideally within a healthcare or nonprofit context.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit accounting standards, grant regulations, budget oversight, and audit preparation.
  • Integrity and trustworthiness with a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering relationships with diverse stakeholders.
