Benefits Account Manager

At Cherry Creek Insurance Agency, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Client Manager to join our team. As a Client Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships based on trust and proactive communication.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement tailored benefits solutions for clients, understanding their organizational goals and employee demographics.
- Coordinate the implementation and ongoing management of employee benefit plans, ensuring smooth enrollment processes and resolving issues.
- Advocate on behalf of clients with insurance carriers and benefit providers to resolve issues and optimize service delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate existing benefit programs, recommending adjustments or improvements based on utilization trends and client feedback.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to employee benefits, advising clients on compliance matters and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
- Lead the renewal process for client benefit plans, including negotiation of terms and conditions with carriers.
- Analyze renewal proposals and recommend adjustments or alternative options to meet client objectives.
- Develop and deliver employee communication materials related to benefit plans, open enrollment, and policy changes.
- Conduct employee meetings or seminars to educate and engage employees in understanding their benefits.
- Work with Underwriter on financial analysis of benefit plans, including cost projections, claims experience, and utilization trends.
- Prepare client-facing reports and presentations summarizing key findings and recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for additional services or products that benefit clients and support business growth.
- Collaborate with Sales teams to expand client relationships and acquire new business opportunities.
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must hold Life & Health insurance license for the State of Colorado or be willing to obtain one within an agreed-upon timeframe.
- Proactive participation in continuing education classes.
- 2+ years of experience in Employee Benefits Account Management required.
- 2 years of similar or related experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate deliverables.
- Ability to manage and negotiate multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Maintain a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts.
- Keep informed regarding industry knowledge, new product information, legislation, coverage, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
- Interact with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the company.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong functional knowledge of Excel specific to creating, formatting, and evaluating formulas and working within templates.
- Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.
