Job Title: Senior Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Job Summary: Old Dominion University seeks a visionary and transformative leader to serve as the Senior Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. This key role will oversee the transformation of HR, rebranding, rebuilding, and becoming more forward-focused on technology, AI, data collection, and analytics, while moving to a Business Partner model. About the Role: The Senior Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer will report to and serve as an advisor to the VP of Human Resources, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion on strategic initiatives. This leader will lead ODU's HR organization and a department of approximately 30, with three direct reports. Responsibilities: * Run the day-to-day execution of HR programs, policies, and procedures, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards, and Employee Relations * Serve as a strategic partner in navigating the post-integration landscape * Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, community members, and administrators to drive the organization's mission, values, and strategic direction * Lead the transformation of HR, rebranding, rebuilding, and becoming more forward-focused on technology, AI, data collection, and analytics About Old Dominion University: Old Dominion University is a dynamic public research institution that serves its students and enriches the Commonwealth, the nation, and the world through rigorous academic programs, strategic partnerships, and active civic engagement. Requirements: * Minimum of 15 years of related HR experience, or training and experience, with demonstrated leadership in human resources * Master's degree preferred, but a Bachelor's degree is required * Experience in higher education is highly desired but not required
