Astera Labs is expanding its Quality organization to meet the increasing demand for its innovative products. As a Principal Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for managing supplier-related quality escalations, driving resolution to quality challenges, and communicating resolutions effectively to customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage supplier-related quality escalations, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Drive audit processes at suppliers to ensure high-quality standards are met.
  • Develop and maintain exceptional internal relationships to leverage as the supplier quality expert.
  • Proactively derisk supplier processes to reduce supplier-based quality issues.
  • Travel up to 20% to support supplier quality engagements.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience driving supplier quality engagements with OSATs, CMs, Fabs, and EDA Tool Suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and soft skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Direct experience working in a high-volume manufacturing setting in an engineering role.
  • Strong background in relevant hands-on electrical engineering to address supplier-related quality issues.
  • Deep experience dealing with auditing suppliers in Asia, with the ability to quickly identify issues or risks.
  • Expertise in excursion management, with the ability to rapidly isolate the most likely culprits.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated supplier audit expertise with ASQ certification.
  • Experience with PCIe, Ethernet, CXL, high-speed products.
  • Strong background in working with high-speed chips, PCBA, and EDA tools and software.
