Job Overview

QED Systems, LLC is seeking a Contract Acquisition Support Specialist to provide essential support in the realm of contract management and acquisition processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, initiation, and tracking of Acquisition Requirement Packages (ARPs), ensuring compliance with FAR regulations and Army protocols.
  • Prepare and review critical documentation, including but not limited to:
    • Acquisition Plans and Strategies,
    • Performance Work Statements and Statements of Objectives,
    • Requests for Proposal and Requests for Quotation,
    • Contract Data Requirements Lists,
    • Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans,
    • Performance Requirement Summaries,
    • Acceptable Quality Levels,
    • Service Contract Approval Requests,
    • Requests for Information,
    • Independent Government Cost Estimates,
    • Cost Benefits Analyses.
  • Provide analytical insights and recommendations for contract actions to fulfill mission objectives.
  • Represent the Product Director Aerostats in meetings with external entities to discuss program requirements and operational needs.
  • Act as the primary contracts liaison with vendors and other agencies.
  • Serve as a technical advisor for source selection boards as needed.
  • Review and provide recommendations on contractors' schedules, deliverables, and project management systems.
  • Monitor and manage contractor deliverables and requests, ensuring efficient data management.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Detail-oriented with strong technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with a proven track record in program management.
  • Experience in Army Program Management Offices.
  • Familiarity with various contract types including Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, and Cost Plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the DoD Acquisition Process.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software, and Solutions (CHESS).
  • Experience with Statements of Work and Performance Work Statements.
  • Understanding of Contract Data Requirement Lists.
  • Familiarity with Justification and Approval processes.
  • Experience in developing Service Acquisition Strategies and Acquisition Plans.
  • Knowledge of DD254 - Contract Security Classification Specification.
  • Experience in market research and analysis.
  • Understanding of Theater Business Clearance processes.
  • Experience with Requests for Proposal and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans.

Clearance Requirement:

  • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with five (5) years of relevant experience, or eight (8) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Travel Expectations:

Minimal travel (less than 10%) is anticipated for this role.

Work Environment:

This position involves collaboration with customers and contractors in a professional office setting.

Position Type:

This is a full-time role, with a standard workweek from Monday to Friday, allowing for flexibility around core hours.
