As a Construction Management Specialist with Michael Page, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of multifamily projects. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work with a top Chicago general contractor, renowned for its hospitality and multifamily projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent on multifamily projects, accompanied by an advanced understanding of construction management processes, means, and methods. The ability to generate and drive master schedules, motivate and lead teams, and manage conflict and crisis situations is essential.

This challenging role requires someone who is a team player, taking responsibility for their actions and mistakes, and demonstrating competence in software such as Procore or similar systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day activities to meet project milestones and ensure on-time completion.
  • Direct field personnel to achieve high-quality workmanship, adhering to plans and specifications.
  • Maintain daily and weekly logs of construction progress.
  • Ensure job-site safety, health, and cleanliness.
  • Daily inspection of the construction site to monitor compliance with regulations.
  • Identify potential project issues and plan coordination problems before beginning construction.
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Ensure project documentation and reports are complete.
  • Attend necessary job-site meetings and manage punch lists and close-out of the project.
