Overview:


Fairview Health Services is seeking a committed Clinical Visit Coordinator to become a part of our dedicated Neurosurgery Care Team. This position is casual, meaning hours will be scheduled as needed.

The role will also provide support to various locations as required. Compensation for this position begins at $20.00, with potential increases based on experience.

Responsibilities/Job Description:
This position is essential in facilitating in-person clinic visits and guiding patients through their healthcare journey. The Clinical Visit Coordinator is responsible for gathering relevant medical information from patients and documenting it accurately in the medical records.

This role also ensures that examination rooms are adequately stocked, that necessary equipment and supplies are available, and assists with tasks that enhance the team's effectiveness and efficiency.

The Clinical Visit Coordinator may also aid in scheduling and coordinating appointments, preparing schedules, and performing other assigned duties.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing patients for their appointments by communicating prior to their scheduled visit to ensure that medical records are collected and available.
  • Assisting in the rooming process by gathering and documenting pertinent information such as the reason for the visit, medication history, vital signs using automated machines, and health questionnaires.
  • Facilitating the connection between patients and providers during visits, ensuring a positive experience for both parties.
  • Completing visit wrap-ups and providing after-visit summaries to patients, including recommendations for follow-up care.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, providers, and the care team, demonstrating comfort with both in-person and virtual technologies.


Qualifications:
Required:
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Proficient in technology, including computer hardware, software applications, and smart devices.

Preferred:
  • Current student in nursing, medical, social work, psychology, or pharmacy.
  • Successful completion of a NA, EMT, or HUC program.
  • Experience with medical terminology, electronic health records, and telephonic customer service in a healthcare environment.

Individuals who excel in this role typically demonstrate strong prioritization skills and a focus on customer service with every interaction. Excellent public relations and interpersonal communication skills are essential. The ability to work effectively as part of a team to deliver exceptional care is crucial. Candidates should be capable of using relevant computer applications, working independently, and demonstrating critical thinking skills. A willingness to embrace change and engage in continuous process improvement is highly valued. A solid understanding of Dignity, Integrity, Service, Compassion, and Innovation is essential.
