Position Overview:

Electrical Test Engineers will be responsible for test planning, execution, and scripting for various testing protocols, including PVC controller, VNU, and RIO/FC testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and document avionics development, qualification, and acceptance testing.
  • Oversee testing processes and ensure technicians are effectively conducting tests.
  • Analyze Environmental and EMI data to derive insights.
  • Utilize measurement and analysis techniques to identify root causes of failures in avionics testing.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with test execution.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external laboratories for testing activities.
  • Support the development of test equipment.
  • Work proficiently in environmental and EMI laboratory settings.
  • Conduct hardware requirements traceability and verification processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, aerospace engineering, physics, or a related discipline.
  • Over 6 years of experience in hardware development, integration, systems engineering, or testing.
  • At least 2 years of experience in planning, executing, and reporting on electronics testing.
  • Experience in hardware requirements traceability and verification.
  • Strong practical and analytical knowledge of both analog and digital electronics.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, particularly in technical contexts.
  • Ability to build trust, maintain positive professional relationships, and foster an inclusive work culture.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally admitted refugee or asylee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with standards such as RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461.
  • Knowledge of sensors, including LVDT, RTD, thermocouples, pressure transducers, resolvers, and accelerometers.
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and Linux environments.
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting test networks.
  • Background in programming, debugging, and troubleshooting microcontroller-based devices.
  • Familiarity with git for software development.
  • Graduate degree in electrical, computer, aerospace engineering, or a related field is a plus.
