Loan Operations Coordinator

The Loan Operations Coordinator will play a pivotal role in overseeing various facets of the lending process, including but not limited to loan finalization and servicing management, facilitating intricate client onboarding, data oversight, and quality assurance. The team will be tasked with ensuring operational excellence in the closing and servicing of all loan transactions within the supported business division, ensuring compliance with both internal and external standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of processes, standards, procedures, controls, training, and reporting for transaction management.
  • Assist in the design and execution of reporting solutions, including testing and implementation.
  • Ensure that the quality of data, controls, and processes align with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
  • Collaborate with various business lines, transaction management, and loan operations to establish and implement operational metrics and risk assessments, ensuring comprehensive transparency for all stakeholders.
  • Continuously enhance processes, controls, and efficiencies across the loan lifecycle.
  • Engage in projects aimed at improving performance and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in loan remediation efforts and system testing/migrations.
  • Evaluate risks in business decisions, demonstrating a commitment to the firm's reputation and safeguarding its assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and managing control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to perform under tight deadlines, prioritize tasks effectively, and complete assignments with minimal oversight.
  • Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications.
  • Familiarity with Tableau or other visualization tools.
  • Experience with Loan IQ and transaction capture tools.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in client relationship management and solution-oriented approaches.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within a large global team supporting wholesale lending at a major financial institution.
  • Knowledge of wholesale loan products, including an understanding of legal documentation, funding mechanics, and deal structures.
  • Experience working with clients under time constraints to facilitate transactions.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members and senior management.
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to identify, escalate, and propose solutions to challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks through effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Understanding of corporate and regulatory policies related to lending.
  • Deep knowledge of operational processes supporting wholesale lending.
  • Focus on achieving and exceeding key performance indicators in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
