Job Summary:

The Front of House Manager will oversee the daily operations of the dining and bar area, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service: Ensure that all guests receive prompt and attentive service, addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of servers and bartenders, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the front of house.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct weekly inventory of beer, wine, and alcohol levels, and place orders with vendors as needed.
  • Scheduling: Generate the front of house work schedule, taking into account staff requests, special events, and labor goals.
  • Training and Development: Provide training to new servers and bartenders, ensuring they are equipped to provide exceptional guest service and meet the standards of Rotolo's Alexandria.
  • Problem-Solving: Address any issues or concerns that may arise, including guest complaints, equipment malfunctions, and staff conflicts.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the General Manager, servers, bartenders, and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and efficient front of house operation.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of server experience and at least 3 months of experience at Rotolo's Alexandria.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, basic math skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods of time, safely lift and maneuver trays of food weighing up to 20-25 pounds.
