Job Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and wellness
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by one of the following accrediting bodies: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a VA hospital or clinic
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice and quality improvement principles
  • Ability to work with electronic health records and other healthcare technology systems
  • Experience with patient education and health promotion
