Process Safety Engineer

We are in search of a proactive and skilled Process Safety Engineer. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and dependability of chemical operations by performing risk assessments, safety evaluations, and executing process safety management initiatives. A robust background in chemical engineering, safety protocols, and adherence to regulatory standards is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish, execute, and uphold process safety management initiatives to guarantee compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Conduct thorough process hazard analyses, risk assessments, and safety reviews to pinpoint hazards and propose corrective measures.
  • Work collaboratively with teams to design and implement safety systems, procedures, and protocols.
  • Evaluate the safety of processes, equipment, and facilities to ensure alignment with established standards.
  • Investigate incidents related to process safety, perform root cause analyses, and formulate recommendations for prevention.
  • Engage in process safety compliance and EHS audits.
  • Offer technical support and expertise on matters related to process safety.
  • Develop and conduct training programs on process safety topics.
  • Monitor and assess process safety performance metrics, reporting findings to management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in regulations.
  • Foster a culture of safety and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience within a chemical manufacturing setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of process safety management principles, methodologies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with hazard analysis and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional certification is advantageous.
