We are in search of a dedicated and knowledgeable Process Safety Engineer. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the safety and dependability of chemical operations by executing risk assessments, safety evaluations, and establishing process safety management initiatives. A robust foundation in chemical engineering, safety standards, and compliance with regulations is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and uphold process safety management systems to ensure adherence to regulations and industry benchmarks.
  • Conduct thorough process hazard evaluations, risk assessments, and safety reviews to pinpoint potential hazards and propose corrective measures.
  • Work collaboratively with teams to devise and execute safety systems, procedures, and protocols.

  • Investigate incidents related to process safety, perform root cause analyses, and formulate recommendations for prevention.
  • Engage in process safety compliance and environmental health and safety audits.

  • Monitor and evaluate process safety performance metrics, reporting findings to management.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, technological innovations, and regulatory changes.
  • Foster a culture of safety and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience within a chemical manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements of process safety management.
  • Proficiency in hazard analysis and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Professional certification is advantageous.
