In this role, you will oversee marketing strategies, sales initiatives, and the cultivation of business opportunities and relationships with prospective clients. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, necessitating comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare industry, pharmaceutical products, market dynamics, relationship management, and strategic planning.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Continuously assessing and updating the market potential and trends within the pharmaceutical sector.
- Identifying new business opportunities and drafting responses to requests for information (RFI) and proposals (RFP).
- Engaging with existing and potential clients to understand their needs.
- Collaborating with engineering and product development teams to identify market gaps and demands.
- Contributing to the strategic and research and development roadmaps of the company.
- Driving revenue growth through effective business strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, particularly in healthcare products. You should be highly organized, articulate, adaptable, quick to understand business requirements, a team player, and an excellent communicator with a strong desire to learn.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or business discipline from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in business development within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Deep understanding of market analytics and technology commercialization.
- Experience in leading business development initiatives to enhance the company's portfolio.
- Proven track record in developing winning strategies and proposals.
- Familiarity with government contracting and current market trends.
- Demonstrated ability to execute effective business plans.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Effective presentation skills and experience in leading client meetings.
- Bachelor of Science in a relevant field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare technology sectors.
- Background in startup environments.
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearances.
