Kitchen Equipment Technician Job Description

Joe Warren & Sons Co., Inc. is seeking a skilled Kitchen Equipment Technician to join their team. As a key member of the company's service team, this individual will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and installing commercial cooking and food preparation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and service commercial cooking and food preparation equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Accurately and timely complete assignments for all services performed, ensuring high-quality results and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Parts Department to identify and recommend necessary parts and equipment.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment, including a well-maintained truck and accurate inventory of parts and tools.
  • Communicate effectively with manufacturers to diagnose equipment issues and provide solutions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of equipment problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions to determine the necessary work to be performed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, communicating clearly and professionally with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Promote and recommend additional services offered by Joe Warren & Sons Co., Inc. to customers.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and team collaboration.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a commitment to safety and quality.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require fine motor skills, climbing stairs and ladders, and working in various environments.
  • Background experience in gas, electric, plumbing, and/or steam, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial equipment repair or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
