  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC equipment, including refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
  • Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Conduct intermediate to advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting of complex equipment, including refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
  • Repair and Replacement: Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring, as needed.
  • Start-up Procedures: Perform on-site start-up procedures for new equipment installations.
  • Warranty Service: Conduct warranty service applications, including inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality.
  • Customer Education: Educate customers on proper use of equipment, maintenance schedules, and operating manuals.
  • Leadership and Training: Lead the rebuild and retrofit of commercial HVAC equipment, direct apprentice-level technicians, and provide hands-on training.
  • Problem-Solving: Use reasoning and logic to problem-solve issues and resolve customer concerns.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, building owners, and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Document actions taken on the job site, including project reports and customer communication.
  • Quality Control: Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to company standards and policies.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility, or 7+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license, state license or certifications as required by market, EPA-approved Universal Technician Certification, as necessary.
  • Soft Skills: Previous experience in mentoring less experienced technicians, working knowledge of Microsoft Office software products, current first aid/CPR card, OSHA 10 Certification.
