WIS Retail Space Planning Specialist – Travel Job Preview


This WIS team collaborates with a select group of specialty retailers, providing focused merchandising support tailored to their unique business needs.

You will be scheduled with specific retail clients to deliver space mapping and layout services for store remodels and resets.


WIS Retail Space Planning Specialist - Travel Responsibilities:


- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency to exceed customer expectations.
- Utilize proprietary company software and resources to map store settings with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.


- Gather special planning and mapping data within store environments according to specific customer needs as outlined in project procedures.


- Adhere to customer-specific processes for all projects to ensure we meet service requirements; communicate any issues promptly and with integrity.


- Engage with local store leadership prior to arrival, preferably the day before, to introduce yourself and build strong relationships.


- Manage multiple priorities and ensure timely completion of all commitments.


- Identify and communicate challenges to leadership to improve processes, reduce rework, and assist customers in finding better solutions.


- Maintain professionalism and positive relationships with customers, employees, and internal partners, enhancing our reputation in the marketplace.


Team Requirements:

- Associate degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- A minimum of one (1) year of retail/store layout experience.
- Proven ability to work independently and meet commitments in a timely and efficient manner, with little to no direct supervision.
- Strong communication skills with high attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.


- Effective customer relations and service skills aimed at delivering exceptional service and the ability to act quickly to resolve concerns or challenges as they arise.


- A valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance may be required depending on Division needs.


- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment investigative consumer report and/or drug screening.


Working Conditions:


This position requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods, occasional walking, and frequent low-level positions such as squatting or kneeling. It also requires the ability to frequently use a ladder and lift/carry items up to 30 lbs. Additionally, frequent travel via car and occasional plane travel, including overnight stays, is necessary.
