Position Overview: Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) division, a leader in advanced weapon systems and services, is in search of a Senior Security Officer / Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) to enhance the security operations in Orlando, FL.

This CPSO will oversee security protocols for a significant and dynamic Special Access Program (SAP).

The selected candidate will be accountable for comprehensive security measures, including personnel security, physical security, technical security, policy guidance research, and classification management, adhering to the stipulations outlined in 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Volumes 1-4, ICD 705, along with OPSEC and related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with program DD 254(s).

Responsibilities will also encompass high-level program leadership briefings, presentations, processing Program Access Requests (PAR), supporting classified meetings, program management assistance, and security training initiatives.


Utilizes a business-oriented and risk-aware approach to address security challenges and business obstacles, effectively communicating insights and recommendations to leadership and enterprise partners.

Formulates and secures approvals for various plans to support the establishment of new testing environments and facilities/labs being developed on-site.

This role necessitates an enhanced security review in compliance with USG contract stipulations, which is a prerequisite for employment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience with Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • Proficiency in change management and process discipline.
  • Familiarity with the implementation of 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Volumes 1-4, and ICD 705.
  • The capability to articulate and present informed, decisive, and risk-managed security recommendations based on limited or conflicting information is crucial, as is the ability to foster relationships both within the organization and externally with government clients and industry partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal relations, and analytical abilities.
  • Active Secret clearance with an investigation conducted within the last five years.

  • Lead and drive change in a collaborative and inclusive manner, possessing strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
  • Engage with Executive Leadership to support ongoing operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with various entities and manage projects and subordinate tasks simultaneously in time-sensitive environments.
  • Experience with the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM) program.
  • Knowledge of the SCI nomination process.
  • Inspire and develop Security Team Members.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective relationships both within the organization and with government clients and suppliers.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Familiarity with Navy programs.
  • Experience utilizing CNET, DISS, and JADE.
Security Clearance Requirement: This position mandates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens for consideration.

Clearance Level: Top Secret

Remote Work Capability: Onsite Full-time: The responsibilities associated with this position will be conducted onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule: Lockheed Martin offers a variety of alternate work schedules to provide flexibility for employees. Schedules may range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week to condensed options that allow for additional time away from the office, in addition to Paid Time Off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour days, with 3 days off per week.
