About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Instrument Repair Technician to join our team at Music & Arts. As a key member of our repair team, you will be responsible for repairing musical instruments to the highest standards, ensuring that our customers receive their instruments in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instrument Repair: Clean and repair a variety of musical instruments, including brass, woodwind, orchestral, and percussion instruments.
  • Estimating and Scheduling: Provide accurate estimates for repair work and manage your time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Customer Service: Work with customers to understand their repair needs and provide excellent customer service.
  • Instrument Handling: Safely handle and store musical instruments, including lifting and moving heavy instruments.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all repair work meets our high standards of quality.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 6 years of experience working on musical instruments on a daily basis.
  • Training: Apprenticeship or diploma from an accredited repair school.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling instruments and cases up to 75 pounds.
  • Environmental Factors: Working in a noise environment with mild cleaning chemical smells.
Benefits
  • Competitive Pay: $30.00/hr plus commission depending on location, background, and experience.
