PET/CT Technologist

As a PET/CT Technologist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate, timely results that make a difference in patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer radioactive compounds to patients.
  • Perform complex imaging procedures using advanced radiation-detecting instrumentation.
  • Process and enhance images to provide high-quality diagnostic information.
  • Collaborate with physicians to interpret results and provide patient information.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and reactions during scans, reporting any abnormalities to physicians.
  • Consult with radiologists to ensure accurate scan procedures.
  • Gain patients' trust by obtaining relevant history, explaining procedures, and addressing questions.
  • Monitor patients' physical condition during procedures.
  • Document patient comments and concerns to inform diagnostic interpretation.
  • Ensure safety protocols are in place to protect patients and operators from radiation exposure.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot radiologic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • Diploma from a Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or equivalent.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB and/or ARRT-N) certification.
  • NMTCB(CT) and/or ARRT(CT) certification.
  • NYS License.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a related field.
Compensation: Up to $55 per hour. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, 401k plan, generous PTO time, and more.
