Nurse Coordinator

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our client's talented team in Washington Heights, NY.
This is a permanent job opportunity with a competitive salary and benefits package.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in obstetrics and gynecology, with experience in clinical supervision and patient care.
- Responsibilities will include working closely with the Director of Outpatient Operations and Practice Operations Manager to ensure accurate completion of competencies and clinical responsibilities.
- The successful candidate will also be responsible for observing, reporting, and recording patient conditions, reactions to drugs and treatment, and compiling and recording all patient laboratory information.
- Additional responsibilities will include assisting physicians during clinical procedures, recording patient histories and vital signs, venipuncture, injections, and collecting/preparing specimens.
- The ideal candidate will also be responsible for monitoring the use and ordering of equipment, surgical instruments, and supplies, as well as triaging calls and advising appropriate clinicians when necessary.
- Other duties will include assisting in improving and maintaining the existing laboratory and pathology tracking system, maintaining precise records of all specimens obtained and sent for testing, and ensuring all medications and injections are logged and accounted for.
- The successful candidate will also be responsible for tracking and monitoring risk management incidents, medication errors, and other patient safety issues, as well as participating in performance improvement activities and staff education.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience.
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License.
- BCLS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of outpatient OB/GYN clinical experience.
- Two years of related supervisory experience.
- ACLS.
