Truss Assembly Supervisor

The Truss Assembly Supervisor will oversee a team of truss assemblers, leads, and supervisors, ensuring the assembly process is conducted efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct safety training for all employees in the designated work area.
- Manage production build stations to optimize workflow.
- Utilize shop floor software to manage job assignments as necessary.
- Facilitate training for all employees within the assigned area.
- Maintain awareness of build standards and perform quality control checks on all products.
- Report any equipment damage to the appropriate management or maintenance teams.
- Monitor production workflow to ensure efficiency.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with the company's attendance policy by maintaining regular attendance.
- Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive workplace atmosphere.
- Monitor inventory levels as required by management.
Maintain an awareness of the work environment to ensure error-free and damage-free results. Participate in and complete assigned training sessions.
Managerial Criteria- Supervise 10 or more associates (both direct and indirect reports).
- Responsible for budget management.
- Authority to hire and terminate employees.
- Set goals and communicate effectively with the team.
- Provide constructive performance feedback.
- Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience: Prior carpentry experience is advantageous.
- Special skills: Proficiency in reading a tape measure and using basic tools such as hammers. Ability to learn to operate equipment like routers, saws, presses, and staple guns.
- Physical demands: Exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively and up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Work environment may be dusty and noisy, requiring ear protection during prolonged exposure to noise and mandatory eye protection and hard-soled shoes at all times.
- 4+ years of industry experience in truss assembly.
- Ability to operate a crane.
- Strong teamwork and customer relationship skills.
- Demonstrated leadership through mentoring new associates and willingness to train others.
- Engagement in safety committees and participation in continuous improvement projects.
