Overview

McWane, a world-class manufacturer of fire protection and water distribution products, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced RS Assembly/Powder Coat Supervisor to join its Machine Shop team in Anniston, AL. This salaried position offers a comprehensive benefits package, 401(k), vacation, and holidays, as well as a relocation package for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a high-performing team built on excellence using the McWane Way Core Values.
  • Ensure personal safety and the safety of team members, and establish team member work schedules based on production and project needs.
  • Schedule assembly and powder coat operations to meet production goals, and ensure production packets are planned, released, and printed to the required department.
  • Perform cycle counts and submit changes to ensure inventory accuracy in all warehouses, and interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assign duties.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules, and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems to ensure quality and quantity standards are met, and initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Maintain time and production records, estimate, requisition, and inspect materials, and coordinate with Quality Control on processing returned materials for the area of responsibility.
  • Report machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel, and maintain established stocking plan requirements on finished and rough parts for the assigned product line.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience, with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Sound decision-making and strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and delegation skills, ability to analyze and solve problems, and competency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic, with occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate.
