We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly and Powder Coat Supervisor to lead our production team at McWane. As a key member of our Machine Shop team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of RSGV Assembly and Powder Coat, ensuring excellent leadership and a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a high-performing team built on excellence, using the McWane Way Core Values.
- Ensure personal safety and the safety of team members, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Schedule assembly and powder coat operations to meet production goals, prioritizing efficiency and quality.
- Responsible for performing cycle counts, submitting changes, and ensuring inventory accuracy in all warehouses.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, assigning duties and tasks effectively.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules, recommending measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.
- Analyze and resolve work problems, ensuring quality and quantity standards are met.
- Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintain time and production records, estimating and requisitioning materials as needed.
- Responsible for ordering and confirming all purchased items from vendors, ensuring product line requirements are met.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities, ensuring seamless departmental operations.
- Responsible for coordinating with Quality Control on processing returned materials, adhering to established procedures.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
- Strong decision-making and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
- Competency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong understanding of production management software.
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on safety and quality. The successful candidate will be required to work in a manufacturing environment, with occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles.
