Job Summary

The Certified Technician – Sterile Processing Lead provides safe, quality health care services by ensuring strict adherence to and performing sterile processing functions. This role requires a strong understanding of sterilization and instrumentation procedures, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure strict adherence to sterile processing functions, including cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, and high-level disinfection.
  • Lead and supervise a team of sterile processing technicians to ensure efficient and effective processing of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of sterile processing services into the overall healthcare delivery system.
  • Provide training and education to staff on sterile processing procedures and best practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; nationally recognized specialty certification in sterile processing preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in sterile processing and instrumentation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent exposure to chemicals, biohazards, and other hazardous materials. The ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods is also required.
