Customs Logistic Coordinator Overview
In the role of Shipping & Customs Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and updating all Shipping and Customs operations to guarantee that all goods reach their intended destinations securely and punctually.

Key Responsibilities of the Customs Logistic Coordinator

  • Develop and implement detailed procedures for shipping, customs clearance, and packing of goods, as well as technical inquiry packages for shipping and customs services.
  • Assist the Shipping and Customs Manager in strategizing and planning shipping and customs operations.
  • Evaluate project scope and documentation, create Transport Plans, and determine the most efficient transport methods based on weight, dimensions, optimal transit routes, schedules, and cost considerations.
  • Prepare transport instructions and dedicated purchase requests to facilitate transport contract issuance.
  • Compile necessary documentation for executing shipping and customs activities, ensuring compliance with import, export, and transit regulations.
  • Track the status of shipments from collection to completion, ensuring all shipping documents are accurately signed and stamped to confirm final receipt.
  • Generate Service Entry Sheets in accordance with Transport Service Contract Documents.
  • Utilize SAP for managing shipping and customs processes, ensuring timely updates and accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the material purchasing department to establish transport budgets and optimal contractual delivery terms.

Position Requirements for the Customs Logistic Coordinator

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Freight Forwarding and Customs within Project Cargo in an EPC/EPIC environment.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas sector is preferred.
