Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Baker Training Specialist to join our team at Panera Bread. As a key member of our bakery operations, you will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs for our bakers, ensuring the highest quality products and exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with our General Manager to select and interview top talent for our bakery team.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for our bakers, focusing on product quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with our Certified Baker Trainers to ensure consistent training and development across all bakery locations.
  • Facilitate engaging and informative baking events, such as bread cuttings, to educate customers and promote our products.
  • Validate and reinforce bakery standards, procedures, and expectations with all team members, including bakers, trainers, and cafe managers.
  • Build strong partnerships between our bakery-cafes and our Fresh Dough Facility to ensure consistent and high-quality dough delivery.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of all products and ingredients within our bakery environments.
  • Provide support for troubleshooting baking equipment and ensure proficiency in all required tasks and expectations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of Panera bakery experience.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to coach and teach others.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with oversight.
  • Ability to inspire others to perform at a high level.
  • Tireless work ethic, with ability to work unusual hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Working Conditions
  • Required travel up to 90%.
Physical Requirements
  • This position requires a mix of walking/standing during long periods, some desk/office administrative work, and driving between locations.
