Position Overview: The Staffing Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the management of staffing levels across all nursing departments, ensuring alignment with patient care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the director in monitoring and maintaining optimal staffing levels based on acuity metrics.
- Coordinate the recruitment and retention of temporary and registry personnel, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and clearances are processed efficiently.
- Oversee daily administrative tasks, including organizing files, ordering supplies, and managing communications related to leaves of absence, paid time off, staff swaps, new hires, and terminations.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires and temporary staff by creating profiles, developing schedules, and providing training on the staffing management system.
- Collaborate with Staffing Coordinators during peak operational periods to manage incoming calls regarding staffing needs.
Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role within a healthcare environment is advantageous.
