Position Overview:

Role Summary:
We are expanding our Traffic group and are looking for a Civil Engineer specializing in Traffic. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in a dynamic, creative, and collaborative setting where your skills and insights will be appreciated.

Work Arrangement:
We offer a flexible work schedule, allowing for three days in the office and two days working from home.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design and development of traffic-related plans, including roundabouts, traffic signals, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, signing, striping, and lighting.
2. Perform analyses utilizing simulation and modeling software.
3. Produce plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
4. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and technicians to create safe and efficient designs for complex transportation infrastructure systems for various agencies and contractors.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer in Minnesota or the ability to obtain registration within six months of employment.
- Experience or interest in design and plan development for traffic-related projects.
- Proficient in CADD software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; capable of producing clear and technically accurate specifications and reports.

Preferred Qualifications:
- PTOE Certification or interest in obtaining it.
- Previous experience in Design-Build projects.
- Familiarity with developing and assessing transportation system alternatives.
- Experience in traffic operations analysis, forecasting, and modeling.
- Knowledge of traffic analysis software (Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, etc.).
- Background in Project Management and Business Development.
