You will develop and uphold imaging and safety protocols while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operate MRI machinery to produce diagnostic images for physicians.
  2. Maintain imaging and safety protocols in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  3. Provide training and guidance to staff regarding imaging and safety standards.
  4. Participate in educational programs to enhance professional growth and meet mandatory training requirements.
  5. Monitor and assess patient needs, ensuring comfort and cooperation during procedures.
  6. Perform venipuncture and manage contrast administration as per hospital protocols.
  7. Conduct regular equipment calibrations and maintain a clean MRI environment.
  8. Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to ensure efficient patient care.
  9. Document all imaging procedures accurately, including patient history and technique used.
  10. Adhere to safety protocols to minimize risks associated with MRI procedures.

Qualifications:

Education and Certification:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • ARRT Certification in Radiography.
  • ARRT Certification in MRI within one year of employment.
  • Current West Virginia State Licensure.
  • Valid BCLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ARRT Certification in MRI.
  • Experience in performing MRI procedures.

Physical Requirements: The role requires the ability to lift and move patients, as well as the capability to exert force as needed. Visual acuity must be within normal ranges.

Working Environment: The position involves exposure to various medical conditions and environments, including potential exposure to body fluids and radiation.
