Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with distributors and their sales representatives to enhance distribution channels.
  • Provide education, demonstrations, and support to facilitate deal closures with distribution partners.
  • Engage with Strategic Accounts within the territory, including assessing new facilities and recommending solutions through direct interactions with site managers across various sectors.
  • Conduct on-site training for customers to ensure proper equipment installation.
  • Work in partnership with distributors, industrial teams, service departments, and other channels within Tennant's business framework.
  • Address channel conflicts and manage daily customer-related issues within the assigned territory.
  • Maintain and clean company demonstration equipment, vehicles, and trailers.
  • Oversee and manage the inventory of assigned demo equipment.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and reporting as required.
  • Implement sales strategies as directed by management within the designated geography.
  • Engage in sales activities, including cold calls and face-to-face meetings with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Continuously present our solutions to the customer base while nurturing existing relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of business experience, including 3 years in a sales role.
  • Proven experience working with distribution and channel partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive new business and acquire new customers.
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of the sales process, with a track record of sales achievements.
  • Coordinate and execute annual distributor planning within set timelines.
  • Deliver consistent training on commercial products.
  • Effectively utilize the sales process to enhance project success rates.
  • Identify and engage with key internal and external decision-makers.
  • Develop appropriate communication strategies tailored to customer needs.
  • Leverage training, tools, technology, and programs effectively.
  • Exhibit exceptional time and territory management skills.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Possess excellent selling, presentation, training, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficient in interacting with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Functional skills in PC and related applications.
  • Ability to adhere to DOT regulations and safety standards while operating trailers.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including the ability to hook up trailers and load demonstration equipment.
